One huge perk of being a parent is that you get to dress your kids up in crazy outfits all the time. I have most recently been glad to throw one of Kandice Oster’s crochet hats into the clothing mix. Through her company, Sweet Kiwi Crochet, Oster sells a wide array of handmade crochet hats and beanies, which resemble monkeys, birds, bees and other designs that are great for kids. The designs are also available in a variety of colors. My daughter, Alice, was stoked to try on her very own monkey hat. The hat itself is comfortable and non-restricting, while appearing to be very well crafted and durable. Alice is a big fan of the design, and often pulls the hat off to have long chats with the monkey. Oster also makes hats in adult sizes and styles as well as other accessories such as crochet beards, flower headbands, and more. I've just updated the "Where to Find Me" section of this blog, so look there for all the information on where you can come visit me this summer!

The Gardners Market is in full swing! It's been a great summer so far, but we're really just getting started! I am at the market most weeks, but not EVERY weekend, so if you'll know you want to find me on a particular Saturday, email me to double check. I'll have a new banner next week, so come check it out!

I will be the featured artist at the Park Silly Sunday Market in Park City this weekend. There's lot of good food, great entertainment, and a wonderful variety of products, so come down if you're looking for a weekend activity! Main Street is shut down, so you won't be able to miss it! I won't be back in Park City until August, so come early!

The last couple of months have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to update the blogging world with my turn of products!

To celebrate Sweet Kiwi Crochet's wonderful first year at the Gardners Market I've decided that at the end of the Market, October 16th, I will do a drawing for a free hat! Any animal, any size.

Ways to Enter:

1. Leave a comment! This will get you ONE entry into the drawing. You may only enter this way once. Please leave your name and email address.

2. Come to the Gardners Market on any Saturday and enter at the booth! There will be entry forms there, and you can enter once a week. That means you could have 6 entries this way! If you'd like to buy a hat at the market, by all means do! If you go on to win the drawing but have already purchased the hat you like just let me know and I'll reimburse you your cost!

3. Make a purchase from my Etsy shop. Each purchase will qualify you for an admission to the drawing. Keep in mind, the animal hats are not yet posted to the website. If you would like one, please email me the animal and the age of the person who will be wearing it. I will then email you a link to my Etsy Shop with your personal listing. You can pay online and I'll mail you your hat!

Keep in mind that there are a couple of patterns listed on the site, and they will also qualify you for an entry.

Finally got a new computer!!!

It's been a long time coming, but Husby and I went out a bought a new computer today!

For the last 6 weeks we have been stuck with one computer that will get on the internet but do nothing else, and another computer incapable of getting on the internet.

It hasn't been fun.

But all of that is over now! Look forward to much more blogging, a lot more pictures, and a completely updated Etsy shop!

Yesterday I had my first photoshoot! My amazing parents spent 2 hours taking pictures for me, and while I haven't been able to see many of the pictures yet, I have stolen some unedited ones from my mom! So without further ado, some of my new products, hitting the Etsy shop this week...

Because of bad weather, I did not make it to the Farmers Market today. To be honest, this is probably a good thing, as I've been very stressed out working 2 jobs and trying to create enough stuff for the market each week! The new headbands have been a huge seller, and I can't seem to keep them in stock! So now I have a whole week to get ahead!

The other nice thing about this extra time I have is that I can finally start working on something I have been promising my younger brother for months. It will hopefully be complete tomorrow and I will get photo's shot this week. If all goes well, it could be in my Etsy shop next weekend...Ready for a hint on what it is?...

I found a great shop this week, and the best part is, they come from my neck of the woods!

Annie and her sister Andrea have created this awesome shop with darling chore charts, growth charts and cute canister labels!

My favorite thing thing in their shop is definietly the "My Jobs" charts with magnet "jobs"! What a fun idea for kids!

But Annie and Andrea aren't done! They have a great blog called Simply Home & Family where they share cute decor, craft ideas, and awesome recipes!

I love clocks! Little ones, Giant ones, alarm clocks, everything! I found the greatest clock shop on Etsy last week, and I am now determined to redecorate a room so I can buy one of these clocks! Etsy Friday's shop is...

I've never had the patience to crochet a doily, althought I think they are beautiful! Brenda Rose at "And Furthermore" makes doily clocks out of reclaimed materials like cork, plastic and wood.

I have to apologize, my posts this last week have really been lacking! My husband has been sick all week and I've been working extra, so blogging has fallen by the wayside. I promise to do better in the coming weeks. But for now, it's Etsy Friday!

This week I'm going to cheat a bit. I stumbled across this blog which led me to this etsy shop, but I love it, so I'm featuring them anyway! This weeks Etsy shop is Seedlings Craft Boutique!

I don't know about you, but I have a thing for picture frames. My husband laughs at me because of all the empty picture frames I have in the closet at our place. He also gets exasperated with me because I'm always wanting to take pictures of him to put in the frames! I don't know if the girls over at Seedlings Craft had the same problem as me or what, but I love what they do with picture frames!
Aren't they adorable? They have a lot of these in their Esty Shop, we well as headbands and cute carseat covers!

I was taught to crochet by my mom and grandma when I was a little girl, but didn't really fall in love with it until my freshman year of college. I have always felt that everyone has something they love doing, it just may take some people longer to find that thing than other people.
